All my friends are amazing

The past few days have been a deluge of announcements and links to some great projects that my friends and I are involved in.  Here are a few links to some great opportunities and incredible ladies that I am proud to know (or wish I did)!

Put together by Kate Wadkins and Stacy Konkiel of Soul Ponies, this is a comp zine currently looking for submissions on how Riot Grrrl continues to be influential and how you're living in a DIY feminist context. Much more information on their site.

Cynthia is putting together a zine about the hidden destinations of New York. The urban explorer in me is incredibly excited for this one.

Katie has put together a list of all the insane things our collective has done since it's inception, not all that long ago.  This blows my mind.

I'm going to kill a few hours reading Mimi Nguyen's blog, much of which is her archived columns from Punk Planet.

I'm also currently diving into some serious research for installment #2 of my blogging about feminist voices in visual resistance, aka my DIY MFA.  Stay tuned for more on that, but if anyone has good internet resources for political illustrations, please send them my way!

Kind of Like Records

Lisa over at National Underground is soon starting her own label, Kind of Like Records.  I worked on a logo for her and this is what we came up with!

keep the faith

I've finally found a good spot to silkscreen so I thought I'd try something fun to start off with.  8" x 9" prints of "Keep the Faith, Cut and Paste".  I'll be selling them on the upcoming Measure [sa] tour and later on in my store if there are any left.  Get in touch if you'd like one!

For the Birds blogging begins

The feminist collective I'm a part of, For the Birds, has started utilizing our blog more often and as part of that I'll be writing about current voices in feminist radical art.  Check out the first post as I start exploring feminist in current visual resistance and a couple great collections of poster work!
